I took a B1 Spanish course for one week and really enjoyed the experience. Our teacher was friendly, encouraging, and adapted the lessons to our needs. Since there were only 2–3 students in the class, it felt almost like a private course, with plenty of opportunities to practise speaking.
We worked on real-life situations as well as current topics through discussions and role-plays, which made the lessons both engaging and practical. We were also able to review grammar points whenever we asked. Overall, it was a great learning experience, and I would definitely recommend this course!
I really enjoy the (advanced) Spanish classes, especially the ones during the week. The afternoon teacher is so much fun. Seriously, these are the best Spanish lessons I've ever taken.
Also love the morning classes, she always prepares her lessons so well to make them interesting.
Class with Mayte was warm and encouraging. Mayte is energetic and extremely friendly, and the lesson and conversation flowed naturally. I really enjoyed the class and am looking forward to upcoming sessions.
From beginner to advanced classes, everything is perfect! Sara, the teacher, conducts the lessons in a calm and clear way, explaining grammar structures and teaching how to apply them in everyday life. I highly recommend it to everyone! ¡Gracias, profesora Sara y a la coordinadora Suzana!

FAQ
About the courses
What students ask before choosing a programme.
Do I need any Spanish before I start?
No. Complete beginners are welcome. A digital placement test at least one week before arrival puts you in the right group, and the result does not affect your booking.
How long are the classes?
Classes run Monday to Friday in 60-minute sessions. Basic is three hours of General Spanish a day; Standard adds one hour of Spanish for work; Intensive adds that hour and one hour of conversation. Casual is one hour a day of practical Spanish. Timetables depend on your level and availability.
Will Casual take me to a new level?
No. Casual is practical Spanish for your holiday and everyday situations, and it does not follow the level pathway, so it does not promise a new level. If progress is your goal, choose Basic, Standard or Intensive.
Will a more intensive programme get me to the next level faster?
The General Spanish pathway is the same in every programme: 15 hours a week, 30 hours per module. The extra hours in Standard and Intensive build specific skills and give you more practice, but they do not replace the core.
How is my progress assessed?
Through continuous assessment and portfolio work, plus an integrated task at the end of every 30-hour module. Reading, listening, writing and speaking are all assessed. After 60 hours there is an A1 gate, and after 180 hours an A2 gate before entry to B1.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes, if you attend at least 80% of your classes. At the end of your course you receive a report and a Blau certificate with your dates, the hours you studied and the level you have shown. It is not an official qualification: not a DELE diploma or a certification from the Instituto Cervantes. With Casual, the certificate records your participation and hours, not a level.
What happens on public holidays?
There are no classes on public holidays, and those classes are not made up.
Can my hours change if my group is small?
Yes. When a group has fewer than five students, Blau may reduce the teaching hours. This applies to every programme, including Casual. Groups have twelve students at most.
What if one skill falls behind?
You get targeted support and a reassessment on that skill. Moving to the next level depends on the skills you show, not only on the hours you attend.
Where do the classes take place?
In the same building as your studio, at Carrer del Perú 110. The classrooms are on level −1, and some sessions use other campus settings.
When can I start?
Any Monday, subject to availability. Check-in is the Sunday before, from 16:00.
